DVD Burner problems
Ok. I just got a microadvantage DVD±RW / CD-RW (4DVDRW-B13) SUPERDRIVE burner. I connected to my computer and everything. I installed the software from the new burner so i know it works. But during the installation of the DOS DVD DRIVER i got a message that goes something like " cant find MSCDEX.exe". So without that installed i can only burn stuff from on my computer, i cant rip dvds or even watch them because the drive doesnt read dvd's of any type. But my burner reads any other cd's and normal dvd r's, but not dvd rw's. I found and downloaded the MSCDEX.exe file for the DOS DRIVER but i cant get it installation to find an install it. So how do i make this MSCDEX.exe file apart of the DOS PATCH that the installation is talking about? Can anyone help me with this? thanks

Post #2 says it all. I have just installed the same DVD drive and never opened the software that came with it. XP found the drive and I was away. I burn using Nero and everything so far has been quite positive. I would suggest removing all of the drivers you have installed for this equipment and let XP find it and install the necessary drivers.
