dungeon siege freezes system

Since I've bought my new system, everytime I run dungeon siege, it plays for 10 secs, then freezes, I have to restart, then windows reports it could not perform a required draw something or other. I use to have a p4 1.8 w/ ge force mx 400, now I have a 2.8 p4 w/ati AIW 9800 and it freezes. Please help.
