Comment:

I have 2 hard drives installed as master drives. C: has Windows 98se on it and like to put either xp pro or xp home on the other drive, (D:) .

What would be the best thing for me to do in doing this and next question will be how would I change from drive to drive to run the operating system of my choice ?

Thanks,

Chuck

in 98, put your XP disk in the drive, when it asks you to upgrade say "NO". under advanced options, select choose partition to install OS.

XP will load it's own boot loader, which will allow you to choose between the drives.

sorry left this out.

you could just boot directly to the XP CD and choose your second drive to install XP on to.

When you do go for the dual boot, go for XPpro. More features, less headaches.
