Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help, I have a spare 17" TFT so was going to put it on my main pc as a sendone monitor so I went to the BIOS and enabled dual monitor support for the onboard graphics (as at the moment I use a Radeon 5600 AGP)
I then had loads of problems installing the drivers the screen would go blacka nd then nothing happened and I would have to restart the computer.
I then tried an old Voodo2 PCI card this froze the dektop after startup so I would have to restart
I then tried an old S3 Virge trio card (admitedly very old) this si not even getting picked up by the OS????
Any ideas on how to get this working easily?
Thanks in advance.
cheers

Imagine if every Thursday your shoes exploded if you tied them the usual way. This happens to us all the time with computers and nobody thinks of complaining.

It shloud be just simple as that: if you have onboard card try it seperatly is it working only with one PC , than check screen on your Radeon or whatever, if it works too than just connect second screen restart pc and in desktop propertis last tab you will se screens one and two then you just marking this gray one and initialazing it it shloud get it alive than , if you have so big problems under XP Pro this have to be some of your setting but I cant tell you which one - try to redo everything from the begine
Good Luck

I have tried the on board and the card seperately and they both work.
I then plugged the AGP back in so i could use 2 monitors and when I rebooted there was only the AGP working so I went back into the BIOS and enabled Dual Monitor Support,
Now the computer freezes on the screen for loading Xp????
Any Ideas?
