I have wanted to add a second monitor for sometime now! My main reason is I have a TV Tuner Card(ATI TV Wonder Elite) and want to put TV on in full screen mode on one monitor instead of the way I've been wathing TV now. At this time with one monitor only I have to have the TV on the one 19" FP in a small resizable box the smallest it will go is 5"x5" ,so Iam constantly moving it around while working with documents or surfing the web. My question (finally) is can I mix a wide screen with a standard square display ? My current display is a 19" FP standard screen ! I have found a new 22" wide screen on sale for $249 and Iam very interested in purcashing it,however it must work for the purpose I need it for ,I cant afford to buy two new wide screen Flat Panel monitors ! FYI my graphics card(ATI RADEON X300 SE Hyper Mem)does support dual monitors and has second connector for this purpose and in Display poperties I have the dual monitor option tab for configuring a dual setup ! Any info appreciated .
Thanks Nick

I have never had a problem setting up two displays or more, even with the sizes being different. You will want to put it on Split View, and configure each screens resolution to their optimal settings.

A 22" wide screen for $249 isn't that great of a deal, check newegg.com, they should have something to beat that price.
