Yes it is a problem. It will activate only ONCE.

Why would you want to install XP on both
harddrives of the same PC??? Most people
would do something like Win2000 on one and
XP on the other or Win98 on one and XP on
the other...

Install XP on one HDD then copy it to the other HDD using a program such as PowerQuest's Drive Image. It also does a phenomenal job of backing up partitions too. I've been using it for about five years and it has saved my a** too many times to count.

I have been ghosting a second drive for backup. But with XP I can't because of activation. Thanks gates!

mikeO, Will Powerquest DriveImage copy the activation, or do you have to reactivate? What version works with XP? Thanks,

Steve: "Drive Image 2002" will clone XP with activation to another drive. Read about it first on the PowerQuest web site. It works within windows where it can, and then makes a "ramdrive floppy" for what it must do in DOS. It boots to this ram disk, finishes it's job, and reboots into windows XP. SLICK!
