I'm using the Lilo O/S selector that comes With Linux, If i use Partition Magic to Turn my linux partition back to windows form, it will remove lilo, and i wont be able to get back into windows, how and what can i do to make windows XP my only bootup OS?

I just got done doing that actually, I usally put in xp cd and boot from it and hit enter to go through normal steps then an option comes up saying hit R and it goes through its things this time it didnt work not sure why. So I booted from xp cd and instead of enter first I just Hit R it asked what drive I put(1) and enter, then it ask for admin pass then enter then your at a prompt type in fixmbr and it reboots and goes through like its installing but its not be patient and let it finish go through each step and thats it. You can also try booting from 98 floppy and typing in fdisk /mbr hope I helped cause I spent 45 minutes figureing this one out and was a nervous wreck.

Fdisk is a DOS command and won't see the non-dos Linux partition. Just boot to the XP cd and delete the Linux partition. When you load XP back on that partition it will write your new boot menu in the boot.ini file. Regards

Do a search at google for a prog called "delpart". Copy it to any 9x boot disk. Run it at the prompt = A:\delpart.exe. I've not found a partition type that this prog will not delete. Serge
