I currently own an IBM Think pad i-1300, running windows XP proffessional.
I was wondering if it is possible to Dual boot Mac OS X and Windows XP on the same machine by partitioning the hard drives without any system errors.
Thank You

It's not possible because of the different hardware requirements that the Mac Operating systems require. The Mac OS X will only work with Macintosh hardware. Specifically the processor in a Mac is designed to work closely with the Operating system and vice versa so it can't run on a Windows based system.
Bottom line, IBM compatibles can't run MAC OSes and MACs can't run Windows.

Well you can run Mac OS using an emulator. But no, Mac OS will never run directly on a PC. As for OS X, I haven't heard about it running under any emulators yet.
Of course running Mac OS under an emulator isn't the best option in the world. I play with Mac OS 8 here on my PC using an emulator, and it's more of a toy than anything else.
As for the other way around, it's actually quite easy to run a fully functional copy of Windows on a Mac. Again, using an emulator. Virtual PC for the MAC will run just about any OS that'll run on a x86 processor.
The Virtual PC emulator is a lot better than any Mac emulators for the PC. So if you need both Windows and Mac OS X, you'd be better off trying it on a Mac with Virtual PC to run Windows in.

MAC OS X requires a MAC G4 processor.
That will never work under an Intel
processor.
Mayber emulators....
