hello

i'm leonard

i am using a windows XP home machine that i've finally managed to create an FAT32 partition on using the XP reinstall CD

now, how do I load (mount??) / install Windows 95 on it?? Did i even partition it correctly??? is 3 GB enough for win 95???

It doesn't have to be this difficult

in order to dual boot in xp with out a third party boot manager....you must use and install the oldest windows operating system FIRST.

and actually when using W95 it would be best to use a W98se boot disk to format and set up the FAT32 partitions. Then install windows 95 and then install windows XP.....keep in mind that whatever partition that you install XP on...it will change the Master Boot Record on the C partition.

What version of 95 is it ? You may need FAT16 vice Fat32.

Is XP on a NTFS partition or is it FAT32 ?

You must have a FAT 16/32 active primary partition befor 95 will install, but it does not need to be the only pri. partition or the first one.
