Hi, can anyone tell me a way to set up my laptop to dual boot xp and win 98 and restrict each system to there on partition. 98 seams ok because it does not read NTFS but xp reads the fat32 with 98. Basicly i want to have 2 independent os on one hard drive. No links.
Or is there another option. I have tryed to use VMware's virtual machine but because of my cpu (P3 speed step 1.13Ghz) when i run in dos i can't idle the cpu under VM. even with there dosidle program. the idle driver for this laptop only work with 98 no vm.

Two partitions. Win98 on the first Part. Xp on second. Xp will install a boot manager.

I think you can achieve what you want by using a bootmanager prog that allows you to hide partitions. A quick look on Google came up with plenty of links. Try this one. Looks promising. http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6270-1040020.html
