Is there a way I can have Windows XP and Windows XP in a dual boot system...?
I want one system for editing and the other one for gaming and emails,etc...
I had before Windows 2000 and Windows XP without any problem...
I'm following the same procedure as before, but something is not working...
What would be the correct procedure?
Thanks in advance!

windows XP doesn't support dual boot that's why it worked when u had windows 2000 b'se Windows 2000 supports.
That's the reason you have to install Win 2000 first and then Win XP.
Hope this helps

use the disk management utilities in XP. You can create a software RAID array if you want or set up multiple partitions. Right click "My Computer", "Manage", "Disk Management" Knock yourself out.

Or even better yet, just install a new version of XP on a separate partition like you would for a normal dual-boot setup.
Sam...XP doesn't support dual boot? Ha!

I install windows xp on c drive 5 times
(just for the heck of it) all you do is hit esc when it finds another os,then rename the path to c:windows1 or 2 or 3 or whatever suit you.

That's what I did... but didn't work...
I use Fdisk to do the partition.
Normally I make active one of the partitions install the os, then I make active the other partition and make a new o.s. installation.
So, when I'm installing the 1st XP everything goes as usual , but when I'm in the middle of the process of the 2nd XP installation, the xp o.s. cd keeps taking me back to the first step (formatting the hard drive) and doesn't continue the installation.
So, seems like the regular way doesn't work...
Is other way to do this? like a program or something I should follow... I just want to have 2 windows XP in the same computer.
Thanks again!

Alejandro, the regular way absolutely does work. I've done it time and time again on various systems.
Your first problem is that you're using FDISK. Don't bother. Let the XP setup program do all the formatting/partitioning.
Do a search on this forum or on Google and I'm sure you'll find some excellent tutorials on how to dual-boot your system.
