How do you set up a dual boot between two hard drives, one containing Win XP Pro and the other Win 98, not second edition. The hard drives are on the same ide ribbon
Windows XP Pro is on drive C: Windows 98 is on drive F:
My boot.ini looks like this
[Boot Loader] timeout=20 Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [Operating Systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Pro" /fastdetect
the bootcfg didn't work, it won't reconize windows 98
ANY MORE SUGGESTIONS!?!?!?!?!?

This may sound stupid(it did for me)but you have to have Windows 98 installed on the same harddrive but a different partition as Windows XP for the XP Boot loader to recognize Windows 98. Even if you do a bootcfg repair or whatever it will not see it on a different harddrive. I wish it were different but believe me, I went through it a short while ago.
