Hi,I currently have windows xp pro on my computer. I have two harddrives, and I was thinking about putting win95 on the other drive for retro gaming purposes. Can someone give me a play by play way on how to do that? I'm not familiar with dual booting/partitioning, etc.

Normally, you would install Win95 first and
then WinXP. Then, WinXP would be able to
boot up either one. I don't think Win95
would let you boot up WinXP if you install
it last. Therefore, you may want to
consider something else like BootMagic or
something similar to that...Lawrence

it's actually not that bad. I did something similar. In my case I had 98 installed on one hd and wanted XP on my second hd. I had to install XP to my new drive and then run 98 setup again on my old drive reinstalling the OS but not deleting any files. This way, XP could tell that I had a second OS and dual boot was set up.
Since you already installed XP first, all you have to do is install 95 on your other hd. If that hd is blank or not, you're going to have to do a clean install so you should copy over any files you don't want to lose to your XP hard drive. It's really nice with 2 hard drives because you don't have to make any partitions. The critical part obviously is knowing the names of your hard drives and picking the right one. Western Digital will be WDCxxx for example and IBM has IBM in the name, and also the hard drive sizes will be listed so it should be easy to pick unless you have 2 of the same kind. Also, they should always appear in the same order which is according to their connection to the bus. When you're done, you'll be able to access files on both hds when you boot to XP and only the files on the 98 drive when you boot to 98 because of the file systems compatibilities. You probably have the NTFS file system in XP like me but if you have the FAT32 instead you MIGHT be able to see the files on both drives when booted in 98, but I'm not sure.
