I've received a trial copy of the 64bit version of windows XP. I've heard though that a lot of drivers will not be available yet and some programs won't function. I've got six months to play around with it though. I want to be able to run regular windows xp though so I can run my "old" printer and be able to play some of my older games. I have a 80GB HDD and want to know how big of a partition I should give the 64bit version, All I'll probably have on it is Unreal Tournament, Farcry and a few other games (I've noticed Unreal takes up over 5GB though and I don’t know how much Farcry takes since I haven’t purchased it yet). I'm wondering how to set this up and when I decide to go with one or the other if I will have to re-install to get back to one partition like I think I will.

I don't think you can run the regular 32-bit WinXP on a 64-bit machine... but I'm not sure. :S

Does your PC meet the requirements stated:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/evaluation/sysreqs.mspx
If so create at least two partitions or use two hard drives. Install Win XP on C: and XP 64 on another partition/drive, it will create a dual boot automatically.

I have the same configuration, except i have the newest onghorn build on there.. i have 30 for XP32, 30 for XP64, and 20 for longhorn
it woks out fine also... install all your games using XP 32 on any partition you like, then copy the registry files load them into the other registries and the games will work with one install on any of the three partitions
