Reinstalling Windows XP shouldn't be a problem as it will make sure that the multiboot is left intact during setup. If the installation went wrong Me should still work as it is on the first partition. The essential boot files (ntldr, ntdetect.com and boot.ini) are always on the first partition and these allow you to boot.
