I am dual booting Win2K and Win XP.

If you have XP preinstalled, then it will be more difficult to add another system unless the new OS contains a boot loader which takes over from the XP boot.ini

Hi Tenacious,
Boot the HD with a floopy using WIN98 OR ME
Install win98 OR ME in a different logical drive other than XP. Once its up and running you may have to Go to RUN in XP type msconfig and alter the boot.ini file. If you know what you are doing then fine otherwise re-install win98/ME before installing XP

[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
(LAST SENTENCE IS CONTINIOUS FROM THE PREVIOUS ONE)
Professional" /fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows"

Good luck Dave
