Dual Boot Issue Looking for Help

June 29, 2009 at 07:02:47
Specs: Windows XP, 1.6Ghz/1G Ram
Dell Dimension 2400 with Single 200G Drive has 2 partitions, C: had Xp Pro/SP3 installed. I made a mistake by installed the XP Home Edition in D: yesterday. Now the D: changed C: and only boot inter C: (Xp Home Edition), the another D: (with Xp Pro installed) disappear from booting menu.
I've tried to do the repair install but not have that option and then try to do the boot /rebuild (it found only C:, but i see C: and D: there WHY), and do the fixmbr, fixboot with Recovery Console no avail either. thank you very much for any help.

Does the WinXP CD you used to install have any service packs integrated into it? It will way something like WinXP SP2.

WinXP original version doesn't support hard drives larger than 127GB. You have a 200GB drive. Solution is to install a SPack.
