Hi,
I have Windows XP on one partition and Windows Vista on the other (500GB Hard drive).
At startup the default operating system to boot is Vista, eg: after 30 seconds vista boots.
How can I have XP to boot instead of Vista, without choosing it from the keyboard?
Thank You in advance.

See if it works if you right click My Computer,
then Properties,
then Advanced tab,
then Settings... button under Startup and Recovery.
Then you will see what you want to change at the top.

Vista is in control of the boot selection - XP will only know about XP. You have to make the change in Vista.

Great, Worked a treat my Friend, Thanks very much, really appreciate it.
I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse connected which do not let me choose the operating system on startup. So everytime I need XP to startup first, I have to connect my usb keyboard, then select xp, then disconnect the usb keyboard. The bluetooth keyboard/mouse are accessible on xp logon screen.
This saves me a lot of hassle changing keyboards everytime I start the pc.
Thanks again CHUCK2 and RAMBLER, very greatful to you guys.

I hope you're going to use all this saved time to do something useful! Glad you're sorted out now. Thanks for updating us.
