Hello, Here is my situation: I have owned a Sony DRU-500A for almost a year, and recently I bought another DVD burner. The new burner I bought is a Sony DRU-500AX. I replaced my old DVD-ROM with the new DVD burner, and booted up my computer. My computer recognized both of the DVD burners. However, it recognized both as DRU-500 even though the new one is 500AX. How do I fix this problem? Thanks to all!
P.S. Does the fact that it is recognized as 500A instead of 500AX make a difference in speeds (because the 500AX writes to DVD+R discs at 4x while the 500A writes at 2.4x).
