Drop shadows not working
Name: mzhao Date: January 9, 2005 at 17:43:39 Pacific OS: Microsoft Windows XP Prof CPU/Ram: AMD Athlon 64 3000+, PQI
Comment:
After going back to the standard "Windows XP" theme and setting the Computer properties - Advanced - Visual Settings to "adjust for best appearance," I noticed that drop shadows were missing. Can anyone help?

This should help.
Right click the desktop > 'Properties' > 'Appearance' > 'Effects' > 'Show shadows under menus'

mzhao, You can find this option by going into your Control Panel/System/Advanced tab, under Peformance click the Settings button, under the Visual Effects tab checkmark "Use drop shadows etc.", click Apply and OK your way out.

mzhao, Right click your desktop, Arrange Icons By, and checkmark "Lock Web Items on Desktop". Post back if it worked or not.

Wait, now it only works for certain wallpapers, and the other ones fail to show up in the little preview box, even though they show when applied. Any suggestions? Thanks.
