So today I was playing a game, league of legends, on my gaming computer. One game went fine, the next it froze on me with rainbow colored textures. I rebooted and tried again, same results; 5 min or so into the game and it freezes. I tried another game, it had no problems. I tried two other games, and those games froze up too.

I ran dxdiag and did tests on my sound and video card.. everything was successful. I couldn't put my finger on it. I checked my videocards fans, everything seemed normal. Then I however installed a new driver to my soundblaster x-fi using its automatic updater.. and that really put the final nail in my computer.

Now whenever I try to get back to the desktop.. blue flickering lines appear, it seems slowed down, I try to restart my PC with windows xp OS and it just blue screens me and restarts over and over.. just a loop. I can get into safe mode fine but I can't seem to do anything of importance.

I tried going into my BIOS and setting first boot priority to my CD ROM for windows XP but that isn't working for me. How exactly can I get myself out of this mess, and how is it that just by possibly putting a bad driver into my soundcard mess my whole computer up so much?
