Comment:

I'm going to reinstall windows on a laptop which I do not have a recovery cd for. Now, i've known for some time that all the drivers for a PC are stored on it in cab files. Is there a convenient way to copy all the drivers off a machine. Is it saved to a perticular folder?

Go to the laptop manufacturer's website, download the drivers for your model, then copy to a thumbdrive or burn to a CD.
