Just recently I have been getting this error message, the only new hardware i installed was a scanner which i removed before and i am still gettin this message. I am goin to remove all the most recent software i put in which was Planetside 7-day trial and these apps for changeing windows xp themes and logon screens. Also some times after this error I restart and then sometimes it will dely in detecting my ide drives ( take longer to show or wont show them at all just stay at detecting ide drives) so i restart again and then it will go through. I was also downloading a few movies at the time it happened today but i dont think that has much to do with it... heres the message i got: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen restart your computer. If this screen contines folow these steps...... and then it says like uninstall new hardware/software and stuff.. try booting to safe mode check out device manager any problems showing? try system restore if nothing in device manager or cant be resolved. yours it the 4 one of these in two days ive seen i think it may be virus related.or all 4 of you have gotten the same hard ware or soft ware program.
