Every so often and i am not to sure when (it seems to be very random) the computer will crash and restart. Having made the computer stop restarting when it crashes i got the blue screen moaning about the following....

Driver IRQL not less or equal...... i also get something about the afd.sys file.

As well as this message i have had the following on a blue screen after a crash......

Page fault in none page area. The stop code is 0x00000050.

Hope this is enough information. Please help, its becoming very anoying.

Thank you,

Daniel

If you are using "custom" virtual memory settings, change it. Set your virtual memory to "no paging file".

Turn off and restart the PC, then go back and set the virtual memory setting on "system managed size". Restart the PC again

That should take care of it.

afd.sys, is part of the TCP/IP stack in Microsoft Windows

www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/ winxppro/reskit/prmd_stp_ccgm.asp

Also may point to faulty RAM---see article
