driver !

if you want a driver that will work for all windows platforms you can visit the conexant website at www.conexant.com and download the generic conexant SoftK56 Data,Fax,PCI drivers for either hcf or hsf!
trust me this does work for win xp!

I recently tried to install the generic driver for my conexant hsf modem on my xp system.The Xp system automatically puts a driver (Best Data Modem) in there.I try to uninstall it,but everytime i do it automatically installs the driver (best data modem).If u all have drivers for win xp or steps on how to bypass this and install the generic one, e-mail me at vic462@hotmail.com

This has a beta driver for win xp. have to say it ain't perfect -- makes continual hissing sound, as though the handshake hasn't finished -- but it'll get you online.

XP detected my HSF internal modem as "Best Data HCF Modem" and it dind't work.
I used the driver
Generic
Azthech Softk Data Fax PCI modem
included in the XP CD and it works perfectly.
Don't forget to swicth off "show compatible drivers" when selecting the new driver.

XP detected my HSF internal modem as "Best Data HCF Modem" and it dind't work.
I used the driver
Generic
Azthech SoftK56 Data Fax PCI modem
included in the XP CD and it works perfectly.
Don't forget to swicth off "show compatible drivers" when selecting the new driver.

I found a drive for conexant soft 56 data fax modem for window xp. I am using this modem and it is working good with this modem. This is not the exact driver, but it is working good without any error.
