I had just upgraded from Win 98 to Win-XP. It's working fine but the sound card. Can anyone suggest or find driver for cmi8830/c3d sound card which works with win-xp. As far as I know I have explored all sites. One does get driver for win 95 98 but not for XP - Any Answer to this problem or else will have to unistall XP as it is inbult sound card.

Hi there, I have been searching for this driver for months with no success. Finally I bought a new 4 channel pci sound card Diamond DT-588 that comes with all drivers 95/98/Se/ME/NT4/2000/XP and it wotks fine in XP-Pro. Cheers de Peter

It's me again, I would not uninstall XP because the onboard sound does not work. My Motherboard also has same onboard sound. Now with the new sound card it works excellent. I noticed that XP has problems with onboard sound and video. At least with my Motherboards. Cheers de Peter

I really don't know where to go with my problem so I'll just post here and hope someone replies. I recently had to get a new soundcard installed and the ppl that fixed mine put in the Diamond DT-588, it worked fine but my mic wouldnt work. So I tried uninstalling and re-installing but now it won't install! It says I need a cd that i dont have and that all these files are missing, please help me!!

AHH! I need help i had to format my comp. and had accidentally broke my Diamond Dt-588 driver cd now my s---z doesnt work. If anyone has any possible way to help me plz do so.
