can someone please help me, ebery time i try watch a video online i get this message

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").


no i have them all (protocols)turned on in the options and have tried everything i can think of including reinstalling media player without any luck? does anyone have any ideas???

Well, other things you can try are:

1. Reset your file associations
2. Reinstall/Repair Internet Explorer
3. Lower your security settings in Internet Explorer, or if Windows Media Player has them, there too.

When all else fails, repair or reinstall WinXP... remember... when ALL else fails.
