DI2002 IS compatable with XP. Why did you remove it? I've been using it in XP since both came out with great success. Don't like Drive Image 7 because you must install M$.net program.

I go along with Dick Johnson. I have DI2002 in my comp. with xpPro and my daughters with xpHome, no probs with either, in fact, it has saved my sanity more than once.
Try re-installing and see how it goes, you shouldn't really have any problems.

Alan,

Drive Image 2002 (version 6) is compatible with XP, as is the previous version Drive Image 5 which I still use with XP because I prefer the v.5 UI.

Dick,

And contrary to what you believe, DI 2002 does function without the MS .NET program installed. .NET is not a requirement.

ops: I didn't say that DI2002 needed .net; DI-7 requires .net, that's why I won't install DI-7!

FYI: You people might also give Acronis "True Image 6" a try; M$.net is NOT required. It will make an image file of ANY hard drive or partition to any place while running windows! If your sharp you can load the bootdisk portion and the image file onto a DVD or removable device, and do a complete repair/replace on to your existing hard drive or onto another drive. This makes a bootable "Restore" CD or DVD just like Dell and other companies. If you do this on a DVD-RW or DVD+RW, you can keep updating the image.tib file as you make changes and keep a restore up to date. Works much better than XP's built in restore without eating space on every hard drive. This means a lot to me since I'm running 12 scsi & IDE hard drives.
