|The ROLAND Drafting Plotter (GRX-400AR) I believe came out in the late 1996 or early 97. For the time it was an excellent plotter with remarkable X , Y axis and had numerous fonts to work with and I believe it was the second model (350 = 1st.) plotter to actually use solenoids to adjust the pen weight for more precise plotting and line widths.(not sure there)|
The 350/400/450 became the sign printers choice in the late 90's as they could be easily converted to accept knives and cut vinyl and thin layers of plastic sheeting.
