I am currently running XP on a P2 233 processor and it is a little slow. I have been to various sites and tried to download a faster processor, but no luck! Anyone knows where to get it?

The processer is a hardware device on your computer, it is not software that you can download. However, you can go to pricewatch.com and purchase a new CPU for your computer for less than $60.00. I think you can buy a 1.2Ghz for about $45.00. Good Luck

I was told to go to Intel's site and download the 2GB processor. They told me that would be cheaper (actually free) than ordering it. Is that impossible?
