I dun have any firewall installed on my system not even the xp one.... I use flashget to download file...I also tried getright but problem persists...Others can download the same file without any problem...

I beleive someone can solve this..

1). Make sure you have completely uninstalled any prior firewalls if you do not have one now.

2). Make sure the LAN card is not blocking ports (consult your LAN documentation, I can't troubleshoot that one)...

3). A heavily fragmented hard disk can cause the problem. Defrag your hard disk.

4). A hard disk that is is too full can cause the problem. Check and make sure you have enough hard disk left to install software.

5). A heavily fragmented registry can cause the problem. Goto:

Download the 30 day evaluation copy, and clean up your registry. You will have 30 days and that is plenty of time, to get your registry backed up, defragged and compressed.

Empty out your cookies and internet related junk. This slows down your hard disk.

6). I use Internet Download Manager which is great. It has an autocomplete function which allows broken downloads to resume.
You can try it and see if it will improve things:

7). Goto:

http://www.xteq.com

Download the FREE Version 6.5, install it and tweak your computer with it. Be careful, this is POWERFUL software! And the changes you make can be drastic with it.

Of course, to download these things, you will have to have another computer and write the files to a CD with a burner.

Try defragging your hard disk and cleaning as much unnecessary junk from your computer as possible first and see if that does not solve the problem.
