Dos in XP

I have some old dos programs. Qbasic Vbdos and some games but when I try and run them the same error message comes up that says: The Parameter is incorrect. Ineed help to run this. Note I can run GW-Basic but nothing else.

Since there is no DOS in Windows XP, you do indeed need a third-party utility unless you want to have a dual-boot scenario. bmustillrose is right. dosbox should work just fine for what you need. Life's more painless for the brainless.
