Comment: I am writing a DOS batch file in which one of the parameters at the command line has to include zeroes (e.g., 0025). When the parameters are processed, the zeroes are dropped (e.g., 25). However, I need these zeroes respected because the bacth file calls files that have equivalent zeroes in their file names (e.g., GEN_0025.mp3) and the batch file calls the name GEN_25.mp3, which does not exist. Can anyone help? Thanks very much.

Reply: (edit)Try posing your question in the Disk Op. System Forum. Eyes left. There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

Reply: (edit)I'm confused. Are you writing a script for an Operating System that died 13 years ago, or are you writing a Command Script for Windows XP?
