get a mouse driver and see if it'll run from the command prompt before running doom... that'd be the first thing i'd try...

Heyy why dont you get those doom ports like legacy or Jdoom they are awesome and yo can use glide, open gl or Direct 3d and it gives lots of extras to the game and you can use your mouse perfectly
