Doom II in Windows XP no mouse??

hi i have windows XP pro running on my system and i want to get my mouse to work on the Doom II windows 95 version. is there a specific driver that will recognize my mouse or am i just plan lost with the game. I really like this game so i aint gonna give up. If someone has a solution to this please email me or post back. thanks a bunch

doom is a DOS game. it will not take mouse control from XP and needs dos drivers to be loaded for the mouse to work in it.

so just load up a mouse driver through the autoexec.bat and config.sys files and doom II will work like a charm?.....
