The noise you hear in the song is called Jamming. They fill it with static so you can't steal the music. Try downloading from a different user. Check your firewall settings to allow access to the net.

1)Have you tried cleaning out the IE temp files and history files?
start > control panel > internet options and in the "general tab" within the "temporary internet files"box select the "delete cookies" tab and select to remove all the internet temp cookies then select"delete files" tab and select to delete all temp internet files.
2) you can also cleanout your windows "prefetch files" as some times these files will cause conflicting issues to stored web sites and slow your surfing down somewhat.
R. click on "my computer" and select 'explore" then in the left window select your "c drive " and then select "windows"....staying in the left window, scroll down to the "prefetch" folder and select it. Now on the tool bar under "edit" tab click on the "select all"and after the files all highlight go back to tool bar and under the "file" tab select "delete" and then exit out.

This "static" you hear is what grasshopper said... prevents you from stealing the music. I once tried downloading the song Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Greenday off a P2P program, and like you, all the copies I found were just "noise."

So, I just went out and bought the CD after getting fed up.

Deal with it, time will tell who'll win the downloading war.
