I'd like to be able to view my folders as a webpage, particularly the folder I keep my .html files in. In 98, I could cursor over the .html and on the left of the folder, it would show me a thumbnail of it, kinda like a mini webpage.
Is there a setting somewhere in XP that I need to turn on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-)
Thanks,
Angi

Yaha. :) You want a thumbnail of your Pages? In the folder you keep your pages in, go to Views (The lil box next to "Folders" in the bar at the top of the Window) and click on it, a list will appear, highlight and select "Thumbnails"...
...Hope this is what you were looking for and that it works, take care.
Aaron

Thanks Aaron,
But no, I don't want thumbnails checked, as all that does is show the .jpg's or .gif's in thumbnail format. It does not show my .html pages in thumbnail.
Does anyone know if WinXP took out the feature for viewing folders as a webpage?
Angi

Nevermind... I just went to the Microsoft KB and did a search on 'view folders as a webpage in XP'. It said it TOOK THAT FEATURE out in Service Pack 1 by design.
*sigh*
Can we uninstall Service Pack 1? Or would that take away other so-called new and improved features?
Angi

If you installed Service Pack 1 and selected the option of backing up files, then you can uninstall it. Go to "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel to see if Service Pack 1 is listed. Otherwise, I don't know....
You probably should not remove SP1. If you do, then you had better reinstall the patch for the Blaster worm!
