i just upgraded my case to my pc and wen i put all in new case my pc can not see my 500 gb hard drive no mater what 3gb sate i put it in but my HD with my os has to be in 0 sate or i can not boot up

All you did was replace the computer case or did you do something else like add a motherboard?

Pretty confusing here...

You changed the computer case...but you titled this thread as "does not detect the new disk drive"

So I am trying to understand what is going on...
If all you did was change the computer case out....which means that all the components of the old case were removed and installed in the new case with no other changes...
1) either you shorted something with static electricity, especially in cold weather!
2)you did not reconnect everything as it should be
3)you somehow damaged something in which you know whether you dropped it or not
4) as in 3 above it only takes a slight jolt to knock a connection loose or damage a cable or other piece of harware.
5) because the power was totally disconnected during the move then maybe the BIOS was reset to a non-conforming setting!

i have 4 3-gb stat ports i can huck my dvd drive to 1,4,5 my harddrive with my os must be in 0 it sees my dvd but it can not see my 2nd harddrive it dos not matter if it is in 1,4,5
