This is getting very frustraiting I have been working on this computer problem for a good 7 or 8 hours now, and I believe I am starting to go crazy.... I have read various post of other people having similiar problems and have even posted the problem myself however I have not got a single satisfying answer that has helped solve my PROBLEM!! :( Please if anyone thinks they have what it takes to help me read my post at http://computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/78066.html ...IF there exists anyone with the knowledge on what to do to help me I would very very very much appreciate it :) thanks to anyone for their efforts...

Try this to repair your XP installation..
1: Reboot with XP CD 2: Select Setup Windows XP(ignore "R" repair) 3: Press F8 accept EULA 4: Press R and select your damaged XP installation to repair.Your configuration should be intact.
