I was wondering when browsing through my windows folder, whether if anyone else had two files such as these, vptnfile.297 & lpt$vpn.297 ? Both of these files are both the same size. (5.24 MB) Thanks.

Sorry to have to tell you this but they are virus patern files! just do a virus scan to get rid of them! if you have done one try a scan at thr trend Pccillin site!

Are they in your pc-cillin folder? if so all you have to do is keep the newest file, i have always deleted the older one.

nope, they are in my windows directory, and i have run the online virus scan from trend but i have norton on my cpu

You could go to trends mirco home page and e-mail them, just to be safe, about deleting them.There not a virus, just pattern files for pc-cillin.
