create a new user called michael. then copy the contents of glen's docs and settings to michael's documents and settings.

Keep in mind i want to change the name in documents and settings and not change the name of the account. I checked in user accounts in cp and it didnt show glen there. It was empty so i created michael. Now i can log in as michel but under documents and settings it still shows a folder named glen. It stores cookies and all under glen not michael.

that sounds more like you renamed an account not created a new one.

You can't change folder names without getting into registry edits and security assignments. More chance for mistakes which is why I am not suggesting it.

Sounds like you would be better off logging in as administrator [control-alt-delete at the windows welcome screen], delete user accounts, recreate and then logon under that account. If reusing michael delete the account and its folders.

If you want a particular profile, save that folders contents and copy them to your new documents and settings folder.

If Glen is the only folder beside the unnamed Adm, I believe you cannot change itbecause Windows made this permanent.

Typo..

..it because Windows made this permanent.
