Do you need Adobe reader to use flash player

Specs: Windows 19.01.2011
I just downloaded Adobe Flash Player 10 and it says i have it downloaded but i cant use this hardware. Do i need to download Adobe Reader to use the flash player or is there another problem? Please help,

No you just need adobe flash player10, the reader is for PDF files only.

Go to the adobe site below, try using the uninstaller then reinstall the latest version again.

I did just that and the flash player still doesn't work. maybe there is something wrong with my computer?

And everytime I install flash on my computer it deletes other add-ons that i have on my tool bar.

You need a flash add-on or each browser you are using. If, for example, you use Firefox and IE then you need a different one for each. Try uninstalling all flash add-on's, close the browser(s) then use the appropriate browser to collect a new flash player as necessary.

If your using I.E browser, try using Firefox.
Here's the adobe Flash Player trouble shooting link for IE browser. Go down until you reach #4 check your activeX settings.

If you still have trouble go down the list following the instructions, for the browser your using.
