Comment:
My BT broadband connection via wireless router has suddenly become glacially slow. On clicking the Repair option from the internet icon I got: "The following steps of the repair operation failed: Purging the DNS Resolver cache."
Can anyone help me fix please? Happy to provide any other detailed information.

You should get the message successfully flushed DNS resolver cache.

If that doesn't work (and I don't think it will) go to start-settings-control panel-administrative tools, then locate the dns client and restart the service. Failing that reset the tcp stack by typing "netsh int ip reset ip_reset.txt" in a command line and reboot.
