HI.
My pc is running windows XP, and it makes part of a domain with windows 2000 advance server and windows server 2003 domain controllers. The dns client service is not runnnig (i know it should be), and when i try to start it from the services manager, i get an error message "dns client service can not be started on local machine. Error 5: access denied"

How can this service be started?

Thanks!

I took a course on this a while ago, but haven't done anything since. all I rememebr is that you need a domain controller to authorize DHCP (and probably DNS) servers.
