Comment:

Please help me out. I recently purchased an Athlon XP @ 2 GHz with 256 MB RAM and 1 40 MB HDD(though that may be irrelevent).
My PC is really slow, I connect to the Intrenet through a cable connection.
When I Cntrl + Alt + Deleted I noticed that DLLHOST.exe took up 100% of the CPU time.
The taskmgr at times also showed spiking in which the CPU usage was down to 24% and then when back to 100% alternatively.
I ran NOrton 2003 Pro on the comp and detected nothing.
Previously there was W32.Welchia attached to the DLLHOSt file which I removed with the Fix from Norton.
At that time though NAV detected the virus.
What could be causing this?
I am using the Asus A7vm motherbard, if that info could help.
Please HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPP!

I had the same excact problem!! Go to run and type in services.msc. Then go to COM+ System Application, not event system. Disable that service and the problem will go away.
