Comment:

I've just clean installed windows XP and I get this notepad "pop-up" each time a different user logs on.
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787
I don't understand what it means. Is it an error message? If not how can I stop this occurring?I would appreciate help.
Mike.

Go into the Control Panel and select Administrative Tools and then Event Viewer.

In the Event Viewer, you can see all the errors that pop up and if you double-click them, they will open and tell you what they represent.

In most cases, if you are connected to the net, you will be able to click on any hyper-link that may show up in the explanation, and find a more detailed helpful explanation.
