hi , i have a problem with media player.
I installed the divx 5.02 codec and the 3.1 alpha but i don't have sound with only 1 movie. If i right click on it, i can see the bit rate of it , the duration but not the codec for sound. The one for video is divxmpg4 v3.

Can somebody help me with this please, thx

I had this problem once. Turned out that whoever named the file had changed the extension from asf to avi. When I changed it back to asf, Windows Media PLayer downloaded the approriate update and it worked. This is not a common thing to happen , at least not to me but worth a try.

Sometimes, the older DivX codecs ran into problems when trying to watch them when the new codec was intstalled.
