Hi, please help. I have discovered an
annoying problem in my WinXP SP3, whereby
when I go to Control Panel\Display\Desktop
(tab), the screen will not load and comes up
as not responding. Have to "x" out and then a
Rundll32 error is provided by the MS reporting
tool. I have run the following, with no success;

AOL Spyware scan - files/progs removed
Kapersky virus scan
Lavasoft Adaware scan
RegCure scan - various errors fixed

Is it possible to fix this issue, without investing
in yet another scan checker product and any
idea what causes this, so I can help prevent in
future? Many thanks, Nigel.

This may help, download it with Internet Explorer. Firefox will open it as a text file.
Once downloaded double click it.

Its a registry fix to 'Restore All Display Tabs'
Kellys Korner is a very good site and well worth a look!

Ooops! clicked the wrong button! I wanted to add that this may also help
http://www.exe-error-fixes.com/fix-...
scroll down the page until you see the
Resolution Method heading.
Also, have you tried System Restore?
Regarding the registry cleaner, be very careful with these, they can sometimes remove entries they shouldn't.
