Hi, please help. I have discovered an annoying problem in my WinXP SP3, whereby when I go to Control Panel\Display\Desktop (tab), the screen will not load and comes up as not responding. Have to "x" out and then a Rundll32 error is provided by the MS reporting tool. I have run the following, with no success; AOL Spyware scan - files/progs removed Kapersky virus scan Lavasoft Adaware scan RegCure scan - various errors fixed Is it possible to fix this issue, without investing in yet another scan checker product and any idea what causes this, so I can help prevent in future? Also, have you tried System Restore? Regarding the registry cleaner, be very careful with these, they can sometimes remove entries they shouldn't.
