When I select Display from Control Panel all I get is a window offering to select another theme. No menu of tabs. We did have a new graphics card and could only change properties using NVDIA software. Now we have retirned to the graphics supplied with the PC and uninstalled NVDIA we still cannot change the Display. I have tried re-installing the graphics card driver. Is this a Reg setting that needs to be restored?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I tried running this. I can see the new reg entires in Regedit, so it did run. I also restarted. But it made no difference. Still just get a window that allows me to selct themes from a dropdown list

ta again. Tried this. It didn't change the behaviour under Control Panel/ Display. But by clicking on the Windows Classic Theme file as downloaded this did give me the tabs. But only temporarily. I have manged to change the Background and Screen Saver but now those tabs are gone again. Have restarted and still the same - clicking on the file has the same result as Control Panel/ Display

Whereas this isn't stopping the PC from working it is mildly irritating to have loss of control on the basic feature of being able to change the background and screen saver.
I wonder if it is the registers/ themes now that these have been fixed!? Any ideas gratefully accepted.

... just to be sure!
