display properties error

OS: win xp pro
CPU/Ram: 2.53ghz,512rdram

When I open display properties to change wallpaper,theme,screensaver or icons the window freezes and a message came out and say that rundll32.exe has a problem and bla bla bla.I update the graffic card drivers,I scan my system for spy programs and everything,I replace the mshtml.dll with a new one,but nothing.I found that many others have the same problem.Any Idea please?Thanx in advanced guys. In the error reporting I take this info AppName:rundll32.exe AppVer:5.1.2600 ModName:MSHTML.DLL ModVer:6.0.2800 Offset:0018044d THANX AGAIN

Reinstall the video driver or else copy the rundll.exe file from a computer having the same operating system.
